The Alleghany Co. Ag. Fair is just around the corner (August 23rd - August 28th). Don't miss out on exciting livestock shows, thrilling carnival rides, a heart stopping lawnmower race, petting zoo, with a grand finale of fireworks. Also, be sure to enter your 09/10 achievements at 
the Exhibition Building and show off your talents in a wide range of categories. There's something for everyone in both youth and adult categories. You don't want to miss on a chance to walk away with a blue ribbon and a cash prize to boot.
Alleghany 4-H will be hosting a pet show so be sure to bring out your favorite furry, feathered or cold-blooded friend and show them off too.
