Volunteer Training Opportunities

A volunteer training will be held April 14-16 at Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center. The workshop is open to any informal or formal educators including teachers, homeschool parents and volunteers. This training provides participants with an opportunity to participate in six concurrent sessions ranging from biotechnology to electricity, aquatic
ecology to GPS. Early bird registration is due by March 20 and is $135 which includes five meals, two nights lodging, all program materials and instruction and a chance to win door prizes! 4-H Horticulture Judging Workshop
A 4-H Horticulture Judging workshop will be held at the Forsyth County Extension Center on April 12. This is for youth, their parents, volunteers, 4-H and horticulture staff to actually spend some hands-on time becoming more familiar with the components of the horticulture judging competition. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Registration will be $5 and includes a pizza lunch and a break as well as hand-outs.
