Supporters of CES: 4-H, Agriculture, Natural Resources & FCS

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

We are reaching out and asking for your help and support. We have just received a very troubling e-mail concerning next weeks legislative discussion of the Higher Education Budget. There are now being discussions held of cutting CES in the range of 25% - 30% which could result in cuts of 300-400 positions. This is dramatically higher than what was originally expected. This cut would be felt through all departments of CES. As said by Dr. Joe Zublena, Associate Dean and Director, this would be devastating to our abilities to meet the current and future needs of our citizens. In 2010 CES reported over 5.8 million contacts.

What we need from you:

We need you to contact our local legislators. By phone is best since we are working on such a short time frame. See contact information below. If not by phone please send an e-mail or letter and show your support for CES.

For the full memo from Dr. Zublena, please click HERE.

If you have any questions, please contact the Extension Office at (336) 372-5597.
