Here is a great STEM opportunity for teen 4-H'ers
(rising juniors & seniors) to attend a
FREE 4-week STEM summer program
at one of four NC Universities (ASU, UNC, NCCU & ECU). *Home-School youth
are encouraged to apply.
Applications are due at the end of the month (Jan.
31st).
Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics (SVSM)
is a cost-free, state-funded program for academically talented North
Carolina residents who may pursue
careers based in science and mathematics. The program brings rising juniors and
seniors together in residential settings for intensive study.
A statewide program of the University of North
Carolina system, SVSM is administered by the North Carolina School of Science
and Mathematics. Four campuses of the university system host the SVSM
institutes, each of which has its own director.
