Come learn more about District Activity Day scheduled for June 23rd in Mecklenburg County. We will be having an informational session for youth and adults on Monday, May 10th at 5:30 pm at the Extension Office. Topics we will cover include: how to pick your topic, how to focus your research, constructing your talk and visual aids. We will have handouts on rules and regulations. Competition is open to youth ages 9-18. Presentations should be between 5-12 minutes. There is also a cookery division and Expressive Arts component where you can showcase your talents. Winners at the district level will be invited to present at the state level at NC 4-H Congress in July. Winners at district levels, depending on category will receive: cash prizes, medals and scholarship money to attend Congress.
